ANTIBIOTIC
TREATMENT FOR ACNE

To end your acne woes, you need to work on both the inside and the outside. For this reason, acne treatment products come in both internal and external forms. External treatments may be in the form of creams, gels or lotions. Prescribed drugs, such as accutane, work to treat acne from the inside.
If your acne case is severe and prolonged, it may be a good idea to see a skin doctor, or dermatologist. After reviewing your case, your dermatologist will be able to prescribe the best solution for your acne problems.
Since the acne is outside, we naturally assume that is the place to begin. Sometimes, however, we need to do more than just treating the surface. Often the source of the acne is within our bodies.
That is where antibiotic acne treatment comes in to play. Antibiotics can work with your body to slow growth and eliminate bacteria, and reduce inflammation that can make acne even worse. Antibiotics commonly used to treat acne include tetracycline, minocycline, doxycycline, erythromycin, Trimethoprim, and Azithromycin.
There are side effects with any acne treatment. There are homeopathic treatments available, such as ClearPores that are safer than other, older, treatments.
As with any antibiotic treatment, it is vital that you adhere to the dosage instructions for the treatment to work most effectively. Take too little, or for less than the period specified, and you risk creating antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and perhaps exasperating your acne troubles. Take too much, and you are simply poisoning your system. In addition, you take the change of killing the "friendly" bacteria that your body needs.
There is no need to overdo it because you want to get rid of your acne faster. Treating acne requires a great deal of patience and commitment. While the acne treatment products will help you, it is up to you to make sure that you follow the instructions. Even if you feel a desperate need to speed up the process, you should not act on those feelings. Acne antibiotics need time to work to help your body rid itself of acne-causing bacteria.
Be patient, and give the treatment time to work. Make sure you follow-up with your doctor to ensure that the antibiotic treatment has worked successfully.
